12:00 pm - 1:15 pm (Eastern)

Host: Dr. Stephen Andersen, Director, Strategic Climate Projects, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency

EPA works with businesses, organizations, governments, and consumers to reduce emissions of the greenhouse gases that contribute to global climate change by promoting greater use of energy efficient and other cost-effective technologies. We also work to improve understanding of the more potent greenhouse gases and options for sequestering carbon dioxide. This Webinar will provide an overview of EPA partnership
programs, focusing in detail on the Climate Choice and Climate Leaders Programs. Climate Leaders is an EPA industry-government partnership that works with companies to develop comprehensive climate change
strategies. Partner companies commit to reducing their impact on the global environment by completing a corporate-wide inventory of their greenhouse gas emissions based on a quality management system, setting
aggressive reduction goals, and annually reporting their progress to EPA. Through program participation, companies create a credible record of their accomplishments and receive EPA recognition as corporate
environmental leaders. Climate Choice is a new EPA partnership program that promotes emerging innovative technologies that reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
