Over the past 10 years, investors have increasingly sought to obtain comprehensive information related to the impacts of climate change on publicly traded companies. Groups such as the Carbon Disclosure Project and Ceres have seen a significant increase in disclosures from industry. In early February, the SEC conducted a hearing and published guidance on the its existing disclosure requirements as they relate to climate change matters.
